Birds, planes, superheroes, & dinosaurs!
No two days are the same this summer at Glasgow Science Centre.
One day you’ll come face-to-face with dinosaurs on our giant IMAX screen; the next, you’re soaring through the skies in our flight simulator or embarking on a solar system adventure in The Planetarium.
From explosive live science shows and jaw-dropping exhibits to wetland wanders, sandcastle-building and scoops of ice cream in the sun – it’s a full-on family day out!
Day tickets for July and August follow peak-time pricing*, but book early in June to snap up our summer holiday early-bird rates.
Whether inside or out, every visit promises excitement, wonder, and plenty of surprises.

Science Mall
Get ready for “wow!”,“whaaat?”. and “whoa!” as you explore three floors with over 300 engaging exhibits of interactive wonder, featuring screens to tap, buttons to bash, and gears to grind!
Workshops
Sounds Great
Discover how sound is made, how it travels and how our ears hear it. Make your own musical instrument to create sounds of your own!
DIY Detectives
Can you investigate the clues, solve the crime and catch the criminal? Become a super sleuth with your family in this forensics workshop!
Dissections
Explore the anatomy of the heart or lungs in our live dissections! Get up close with these fascinating organs and discover their inner structures and how they work.
Science Show Theatre
New for summer 2025: What happens when the human body is pushed to the edge of survival, performance and endurance? Through live experiments and demo’s, Super-Human Science! is a thrilling science show that explores how awesome the human body can be when it is pushed to the max!
The Planetarium
Enjoy one of our live presenter-led star shows or full-dome animated films in our immersive 360° planetarium.

Deep Sky Combo
Experience the universe like never before as Deep Sky brings the awe-inspiring images captured by NASA’s Webb Telescope to stunning IMAX 2D. Book our special combo ticket and enjoy the film plus a hot drink.
Summer Blockbusters
PLUS, don’t miss our ‘super’ blockbuster summer lineup including F1.
Sci-fi fans also won’t want to miss the special screening of Star Trek (2009) on 19 July. Just before it, there's a live talk and Q&A with the film’s scientist consultant, Dr Erin Macdonald.

Newton Flight Academy
Home to Scotland’s only full-motion flight simulators, Newton Flight Academy offers you the chance to take off to a destination of your choice...without leaving the ground!
This (30-minute) experience allows up to two budding pilots to take control of a light aircraft under the reassuring guidance of our flight instructors.
*Newton Flight Academy tickets do not include day entry to Glasgow Science Centre. If you would like to visit before or after your flight simulator experience, please click "continue shopping" after adding the Flight Academy experience to your basket to add Day Tickets.
Outer Space
There’s plenty to discover outside the science centre too. Our Outer Space is home to our wetland moat, floating wetlands, and a welcoming outdoor space where you can spot wildlife, enjoy a picnic, and soak up some of that Glasgow sunshine!
Kids can dig into the sand pits while grown-ups relax at the picnic tables with a cake from the cafe or a treat from our ice cream stand.
Don’t miss our daily Wetland Tour at 3pm*, led by our knowledgeable team. Discover how our floating wetlands benefit the local environment and explore the rich history of the Canting Basin.

Make the most of your day out and enjoy our new summer menu at the café and coffee shop in the IMAX Theatre foyer.
Indulge in a fantastic range of options including hot meals, light bites, sandwiches, kid's meals, and a mouthwatering selection of refreshing drinks, cakes and pastries.

IMAX mini-blockbusters, Planetarium and Newton Flight Academy experiences can be purchased as add-ons to day tickets either online or in person.
