Home Educating Groups

The above price includes access to the Science Mall exhibitions and one activity. Small groups visiting with school aged children only are welcome to join visiting school groups in curriculum-linked, age-appropriate Planetarium shows, IMAX documentary films and live Science Shows. In addition, for larger groups we may be able to offer hands-on workshop experiences. These experiences are aimed at specific age groups and can be run for a minimum of 10 children of the appropriate age. Full details of these activities can be found in our Education Guide.

Those visiting with children under 5 are welcome to attend family audience Planetarium shows taking place after 14.00, or an IMAX Documentary film. You can find out what's on on the days you are planning to visit in our What's On Guide.

Home Educating Families

The Passport, however, does not include access to any of the activities included in our Education Guide. You can purchase a Science Passport online.

Special Events

5th February 2020, P1–P7

Take part in a special day of hands-on workshop activities and shows. This day is for primary schools whose total school roll is less than 20 and primary school-aged children who are home educated. There will be a range of workshops which will be shared with other groups, giving your children the opportunity to learn collaboratively with others their own age.

For more info, take a look at our Small Schools and Home Educators Day information sheet (PDF).
