A person with "Our Future In Your Hands" written on their hands

What is COP26?

From the 1st – 12th November 2021, Glasgow hosted the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference. It’s officially known as the 26th Conference of Parties, or COP26.

The climate talks were the biggest international summit the UK has ever hosted; bringing together over 30,000 delegates including heads of state, climate experts and campaigners to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change.

This COP in particular was an extraordinary opportunity to set a path towards a future that is sustainable for us and our planet in the wake of a global pandemic. Glasgow Science Centre puts you at the epicentre of this event, as it unfolds on a global stage and plans become action. Make sure you get involved in the conversation on social media using #OurWorldOurImpact.

Glasgow has a global reputation and proven track record of successfully delivering large international events, such as the 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships making it the perfect location for the summit.
