Important information about planning a visit

Glasgow Science Centre is open to the public for weekends and local school holidays from Saturday 20 November. The team are delighted to welcome you back!

We have been working hard making some major changes to the outdoor space around Glasgow Science Centre and refurbishing our atrium to make your arrival more welcoming, accessible and interactive. There is a new exhibition to look forward to - Explore! And, we're delighted to be able to give you the chance to reconnect with the cosmos with an add-on visit to The Planetarium, which has now reopened.

What you need to know

All visits need to be pre-booked. Below is some important information to know before you book.

Glasgow Science Centre is committed to ensuring a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all. Visitor feedback on our enhanced safety measures has been well received and will continue to be in place so that everyone can explore and discover science while continuing to feel safe and comfortable when they visit.

Our safety measures are being reviewed based on all government guidance and any changes to the arrangements for visiting will be updated on our website as soon as possible. For the time being all current measures remain in place.

The Science Show Theatre on floor one will remain closed while we review how to give our customers the best experience possible while continuing to keep staff and customers safe. Please follow us on our social media channels for the latest updates.

Please help us keep everyone safe

  • Ensure everyone wears a face covering throughout the centre (unless they are under 12 years of age or exempt).
  • Maintain social distancing and follow all signs.
  • Do not visit if you have symptoms of Coronavirus or if government restrictions prevent you from visiting.
