Weekends in January
January weekends don't have to be quiet ones. Glasgow Science Centre is open every Saturday and Sunday this month, packed with things to do indoors when the weather limits your options.
The whole family can spend the day together exploring, playing and getting curious - then take a breather with coffee and cake in our cafe!

Hands-on Exhibits
Push, pull, tap and bash your way through three floors of science and discovery with over 300 interactive exhibits to explore.
Kickstart 2026 at the BodyWorks Exhibition
Measure, track and challenge yourself, then return to see how much you’ve improved. Cycle on our power bike, run on our hamster wheel and test out your speed with our reaction timer - all whilst having a blast exploring science along the way.
Fantastic Forces Science Show
Discover Newton’s three laws of motion in this free science show, with thrilling demos featuring balloons, rockets, and a bed of nails.
Creative Workshops
Drop into our free workshops and get stuck in. Take on the K'Nex Challenge and unleash your engineering skills or make and take home your very own Magnificent Magnets.
Add-on a Trip to Space
Connect with the cosmos and choose an Add-On ticket to visit our immersive and state-of-the-art digital Planetarium and enjoy one of our live presenter-led star shows, or a fulldome film, when you book your visit.

Join our showman extraordinaire on a death-defying journey to the planets. Explore the wonders and perils of our Solar System in this breathtaking immersive adventure.
Add-on a Trip to the Big Screen
Upgrade your visit with a 3D mini-blockbuster and experience Scotland’s BIGGEST screen with one of these unique and stunning films.
• Animal Kingdom 3D
A spectacular adventure where we meet the six fascinating families of the Animal Kingdom that help keep the planet ticking just as it should.
• Ocean Odyssey 3D
Jump in the flow of an ocean current with a baby humpback whale for a giant screen adventure revealing how the ocean shapes our lives.
As we start the New Year, we'll be taking a short pause during the week while we freshen up for an exciting year ahead.
