School Visits
School visits to Glasgow Science Centre give pupils the opportunity to explore the interactive exhibitions in our Science Galleries and take part in structured learning sessions.
- All education activities are carefully designed to link with and support the Curriculum for Excellence and National Qualification Stages.

We offer a term-long online learning programme which includes a free visit called, Learning Lab.
Costs and Booking
School visits including an activity cost £4 per pupil. We offer free entry to adults required to accompany trips based on standard school ratios. Schools in some local authorities may be able to access visits centrally funded by their LEA, our Education Bookings Team will let you know if this applies to your booking.
Visits are available Wednesday to Friday in September - March, and Monday to Friday from April - June.
Our Education Bookings Team can recommend an itinerary that best meets your needs. So we have all the information we need to do this, please first explore the activities on offer for the month when you would like to visit. Then, to start the booking process, complete the 'Book your school visit' form by clicking the button below.
Please note we are currently experiencing a high volume of school requests. Our team aim to get back to your within 48 hours of receiving your form. If you have not heard from us after more than 48 hours please contact us.

Can I cancel my visit?
Yes, we understand that at the moment circumstances may change. Please cancel or change the date of your visit by emailing contact.us@gsc.org.uk as far in advance as possible.
Covid 19 - What safety measures are in place?
Some of our measures include but are not limited to...
- We recommend public visitors aged 12 years and older continue wearing a face covering, unless medically exempt.
- We ask that when visiting you remain Distance Aware and respect others space where possible.
- Enhanced cleaning regimes remain in place and there are hand sanitisation stations are available throughout the building. Please note that some areas may be temporarily closed to allow our staff to follow our cleaning regime.

What support and adaptations are there for schools with neurodiverse pupils?

We recommend bringing ear defenders for any pupils who are sensitive to noise.
Please be aware that for everyone’s safety we have a fire alarm system in place. In the event of the alarm going off there will unavoidably be a loud noise. Staff will let you know where to go to feel safe.
