Our work aims to inspire, motivate and encourage people from all backgrounds to feel empowered and engaged with science. Our strong commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) are at the heart of this.
Feeling like we each belong in an environment enables us to give our best and makes us grow. At Glasgow Science Centre, we believe in creating a work environment where everyone feels welcome, respected, supported and valued no matter who you are or where you come from. We know that this will enable us to better serve the needs of our diverse audiences.
We welcome people from all sections of the community to work with us and aim to increase opportunity and remove barriers for everyone, particularly under-represented groups.
We were delighted to be recognised as a Rising Star at the Herald Diversity Awards 2019 and for our work in relation to Inclusive Tourism at the Scottish Thistle Awards 2020.
In 2021 and 2022, Glasgow Science Centre received a Bronze Standard Award from Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) through the TIDE (Talent Inclusion & Diversity Evaluation) benchmarking scheme in relation to our organisational approach and progress on diversity and inclusion.
In 2022, we were recognised as a Star Performer at the Herald Diversity Awards and were Highly Commended at the ENEI Inclusivity Excellence Awards 2022 in recognition for our innovative approach to diversity and inclusion through our inclusive recruitment practice.
We are proud to be awarded the Disability Confident Small Business Award 2023 recognising and celebrating our commitment to improving disability inclusion and inspiring others to do the same.

Glasgow Science Centre is an independent Scottish Charity.
We are on a mission to inspire people of all ages to explore and understand the world around them, to discover and enjoy science and to see the relevance it has in their everyday lives.
