Spring into Science: Exciting Easter Events Programme Unveiled
Glasgow Science Centre is springing into action with the launch of its Easter events programme this weekend, featuring an array of egg-citing activities throughout the school holidays in April.
From the 5th of April, families will be able to get stuck into fun activities with a special spring twist, including an ‘Egg-Drop Challenge’ and ‘Three Little Pigs Challenge’, where budding engineers must construct the perfect protective pod to carry their egg to safety and build a house strong enough to stand up to the Big Bad Wolf.
And what Easter holidays are complete without an Easter Bunny Trail – where kids can track down the Science Centre’s newest furry-employees, and see if they can identify what STEM industry they work in.
Visitors will be able to add on a mini-blockbuster film to their visit and see a Butterfly Journey in 3D - which tells a story of adaptation and survival as we follow the vast migrations of nature's most enigmatic creatures. Additional planetarium showings will also be taking place across the Easter holidays, along with an intriguing ‘Fantastic Forces’ science show, which will allow audiences to explore how forces shape the world around us.
Glasgow Science Centre will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit in the IMAX over the Easter weekend on the 18th and 19th of April. Tickets for A Minecraft Movie in the IMAX are also now on sale and will be showing from 4th April.
