Starlight Screenings at Glasgow Science Centre offer a unique movie experience! Revisit movie classics from family and seasonal favourites to iconic Sci-Fi's in the immersive setting of Glasgow Science Centre’s Planetarium. All our film screenings kick off with a seasonal tour of the cosmos and tickets include a snack to enjoy during the film.
Valentine's Weekend
Celebrate Valentine’s weekend under the stars with adult-only Starlight Screenings in Glasgow Science Centre’s Planetarium. Enjoy Baz Luhrmann’s iconic films in a truly magical setting—Romeo + Juliet on 14 February and Moulin Rouge! on 15 February. Two unforgettable nights of romance, drama, and dazzling visuals, all beneath a twinkling dome.
Tickets for each film cost £16 per person and include popcorn and a drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available). Book now to make your Valentine’s sparkle!
Romeo + Juliet
In this modern adaptation of the Shakespearean tale, two star-crossed lovers find each other against all the odds, projected onto the twinkling dome of our Planetarium.

Moulin Rouge!
Love, music, and a little bit of sparkle! Join us as Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge! bursts to life beneath the stars in our Planetarium. It’s the perfect Valentine’s weekend treat—spectacular, spectacular!

For family flicks, which take place during the day, additional snacks and drinks are available to purchase before the film starts in our cafe/coffee shop or vending machines on the Ground Floor.
For the adult screenings, which take place in the evenings, additional drinks and snacks will be available to purchase at The Planetarium.
