Space For Everyone

A Space for Everyone was a collaborative film-making project with the Community Learning and Development (CLD) team at GSC acting as facilitators and the L.A.B team at BBC Scotland providing the digital expertise during 6 separate online film making workshops.

We worked with local communities, both partner groups and individuals, inviting them to make a short 2-minute film with the theme “Connections”.

The hope was to get a wide range of films that reflected the different perspectives, interests, experiences, and issues of individuals from our local communities.

Video Duration: 43m 6s

I enjoyed the discussion because it was very relaxed and inclusive. There was a genuine interest in our ideas and our contributions were valued.

Quote from a participant at the workshop

We are delighted with the result, an interesting and diverse 45-minute showreel highlighting all the wonderful communities that the CLD team engage with daily. It tells the story of what is important to groups and individuals whilst displaying their new digital skills.

The L.A.B is an outreach project designed to develop digital media literacy within Scotland, working with a diverse range of groups to create their own content. This creative collaboration with GSC was seen as an extension of their offer and the projects mission, which is to continue to engage with new communities.
