Janine Felson Presentation: Small Islands Webinar

This is a recording from the Living with Climate Change: Small Islands webinar. The full event is available on the Our World, Our Impact Hub.

Janine Felson is Ambassador of Belize and Strategic Advisor to the Alliance of Small Island States. She has been a leading voice for small island developing states in key negotiations including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Paris Agreement and the intergovernmental conference for a new high seas treaty on marine biological diversity. Janine is concurrently completing a fellowship with the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute where she is focused on integrated approaches to global policy making on climate, oceans and sustainable development.

Our climate is changing, impacting on the lives and livelihoods of people across the planet. But who is being affected and why? Life on small island developing states (SIDS) such as Seychelles, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Mauritius is changing, despite these communities contributing little to the causes of climate change.
