Glasgow Science Centre is turning 25, and we’re celebrating by taking you on a time-travelling adventure!
Step into an incredible night where past, present, and future collide.
Retro Exhibits & Gaming Arcade – Grab a drink, grab a controller, and dive into classics, including:
- Mario Kart • Street Fighter II • Tekken 3
- Mortal Kombat 3 • The Simpsons • Outrun 2
- Bubble Bobble • Tony Hawk • Guitar Hero
Plus: iconic science centre exhibits from years gone by (Laser Harp, anyone?) return for one night only.- Escape Room Challenge – Grab your friends and race against time in National Physical Laboratory’s ‘escape room’. Your team will be faced with 7 measurement challenges which must be completed in record time! Only those with quick thinking and dynamic teamwork will make their way to the top of the leaderboard!
- Community Forum – Yes, we know you’ve not been to the Science Centre since you were a wee one, and we have grown too! Take a look at some original schematics from our opening days and contribute your memories and hopes to our community forum. Who knows, maybe your great idea will feature in our future!
- Hands-On Activities & Expert Stations – Dive into themed experiments and interactive experiences throughout the venue, including...
- Space Junk - There are over half a million particles of space junk orbiting our Earth, and Scotland has a plan! Train to be a Spacecraft Controller and manoeuvre your own robot satellites as they dodge, duck, dip, and dive to avoid crashing into each other! Have fun testing your code and avoiding certain peril in this hands-on drop-in activity.
- Fossil Grove - Join geologist David Webster as he showcases fossils representing 330 million years of Glasgow’s history. Located in Glasgow’s Victoria Park, Fossil Grove features 11 fossilised Lycospid stumps and offers a unique window into the world of Scotland’s prehistoric past. Learn more about the importance of the site and its grand reopening to the public later this year.
