Newton Flight Academy
Newton Flight Academy at Glasgow Science Centre is a thrilling experience unlike anything you’ve done before:
- a realistic wrap-around 180-degree view of the landscape generated from real map data
- full feedback from the controls – feel every slight adjustment to your flight as the simulator cabin moves
- full instruction and background to the science of flight from our flight crew
- the UK’s first Newton Flight Academy and home to Scotland’s only full-motion flight simulators.
Discover the science of flight as you take-off at the controls of a light aircraft under the reassuring guidance of our flight instructors. So, whether you’ve had any experience of a simulator before or are totally new to piloting you’re sure to have an unforgettable time from check-in to final landing.
If you are flying solo you will get 30 minutes of flying time, if you are flying with one other person it is up to you how you would like to split this. You may bring an additional two people maximum as observers.
The price does not include day entry to Glasgow Science Centre. If you would like to visit before or after your flight simulator experience please click "continue shopping" after you have added the Flight Academy experience to your basket to add Day Tickets.
Please be aware that access to the full motion simulators is via 3 stairs. We have fully accessible tabletop simulators too. If you have any questions about accessing the full motion simulators or any other aspect of the experience please contact us.
