Contract: Permanent, Salaried, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £33,598.00 - £37,330.00 per annum

 

THE ROLE

Glasgow Science Centre are seeking a proactive, motivated Technician to join our Facilities team.

The Facilities Technician will play a key role in planning and completing a range of planned maintenance works and carry out installations and preventative and corrective maintenance to the building systems.

You'll be flexible in your working approach, taking ownership and accountability for inspections and remedial repairs to the required standard.

The ideal candidate will have demonstratable knowledge and experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role, particularly in relation to electrical and mechanical maintenance services. Using initiative you'll deal with issues as they arise and carry out repairs and inspections adhering to health and safety requirements.

Q1. How do your skills and experience make you the ideal person for this position? Specifically, we are looking for you to detail your experience of electrical & mechanical maintenance services, BMS, relevant qualifications & working within H&S regulations.

Q2. How do you develop good working relationships with your team colleagues and supervisors?

Q3. You are working on our gallery floors and notice water dripping from a light fitting. Describe the steps you would take to resolve this?

Q4. Describe a maintenance project you have worked on recently. What was your role and how did you achieve a successful outcome?
