STEM Futures is an exciting programme of Workshops for S3 - S6 to spark an interest in STEM and support pupils in making vital connections to the world of work. Developed in partnership with industry funders all workshops are free of charge.

STEM Futures: Photonics In Phones
Glasgow Science Centre, in partnership with PQA, invites your S3-S6 students to explore STEM Futures: Photonics In Phones.
How does a mobile recognise your face? How do we create the tiny parts needed to run a pocket-sized computer? In this interactive workshop, students will complete hands-on activities and challenges to discover how photonics plays a key role in the design, manufacturing and everyday use of phones.
