Our main attractions

There are many elements that make Glasgow Science Centre one of Scotland’s must-see visitor attractions.

A hugely interactive Science Mall

The Centre is home to hundreds of interactive exhibits throughout the three engaging floors of our Science Mall – why not start your journey by taking the lift up to Floor 3 and find out all about yourself in BodyWorks?

Get to grips with the biggest challenges facing modern society - the future of our energy supply - in Powering the Future on Floor 2; and on Floor 1, be captivated by the hugely popular classics like the plasma ball, chaos pendulums and whispering dishes... Little Explorers can even take the helm of our ship on the Big Explorer!

Scotland's biggest IMAX and best Planetarium

There’s a primal, instinctive urge to go ‘wow’ when it comes to gazing up at over 9,000 twinkling stars in our Planetarium. Seeing the night sky in all its glory and touring through the heavens with our friendly and well-informed star guides will leave a lasting memorable impression.

The Cineworld IMAX at Glasgow Science Centre is now open. Whilst we are happy to help as best we can with enquiries, the day-to-day operation of the IMAX is now the responsibility of Cineworld. For any enquires please call 0871 200 2000 or visit www.cineworld.com

Glasgow Tower

Glasgow Tower is a revolutionary structure and a world first. Standing at 127 metres tall, it is the only fully rotating building in the world. Glasgow Tower is currently open for the Summer season *weather dependant.

Live science shows and things to buy

Be entertained by our live stage performances and captivating demonstrations in the Science Show Theatre, or find something you can take home for yourself and a gift, gadget or gizmo for a loved one in our intriguing shop packed with great ideas for enquiring minds!

If you need re-fuelled we’ve got a range of places to grab a bite to eat or a thirst-quenching drink – our main café serves a wide range of delicious hot and cold meals; a street café where you can pick up a tasty baguette or cake and a coffee and vending machines throughout the ground floor dispensing snacks and juice.
