Our Annual Review

To mark our 25th anniversary year, we’ve created a special ‘25 Years in Review’ that reflects on our achievements of the past quarter-century and looks ahead to what’s to come.

Over the past 25 years we’ve broken down barriers in education, championed STEM learning in the community and in the classroom and welcomed visitors from across the world to be a part of our mission - to inspire everyone to engage with science in ways that matter to them.

Since opening in 2001 we have:

  • Welcomed over 6.5 million public visitors
  • Hosted 2,500 corporate events
  • Engaged over 1.4 million pupils
  • Worked with 7000 experts
  • Inspired over 800 community groups

These phenomenal results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation of our talented teams throughout the organisation, whose efforts make our vital work possible.
