Arms in Action

Drop into the Design Studio on floor 2 from January to March this year for the second in a series of exciting new workshops exploring engineering in our everyday lives.

Take part in hands-on challenges using a body-powered prosthetic arm and explore the engineering behind this life-changing device. Meet experts from Strathclyde University National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics to find out about different types of prosthetic devices. Find out how these devices mimic natural movement through clever engineering and how patients are supported to integrate them into their lives.

This short drop-in activity is suitable for ages 8+ and is included in your day ticket. It will run from 11:00 to 15:00 on weekends and local school holidays* only between 13th January and 24th March 2024.
