Especially for 3-5 year olds, Little Explorer days are themed fun-packed days filled with things like workshops, drop-ins and make and take activities.

Little Spooktacular

28th and 29th October
Come dressed up this weekend and take part in some gloopy, spooky Halloween fun.

What's On
Goooo! Zone – Get hands on and messy with gloopy goo.    
Spooky Shadow Puppets – Make a spooky shadow puppet for our haunted house.    
Broom Blast – Construct a mini broom, add a wee witch and send her off into the sky.    
Mould a Monster – Mould a monster to take home.    
Animal Magic – Meet toads and spiders, snakes and other spooky creatures with Animal Magic.

Upcoming Dates

Dino Dig – 25th and 26th November
Take a journey back in time to find out about the dinosaurs that used to rule our planet. Come on a 'Dino Dig' and see what you can learn from the fossils that are buried beneath our feet.

Up, Up and Away – 27th and 28th January 
Air is everywhere! Find out how we use our lungs as we explore our huff and puff. Play and investigate with bubbles and things that fly! 

Build It – 24th and 25th February
Calling all mini engineers! Let’s get building. Have fun constructing the tallest tower or the strongest structure with your fellow Little Explorer engineers.

How Does Your Garden Grow – 24th and 25th March 
Join us as we investigate seeds, bugs and pollination to discover how our garden grows.

About Little Explorer Days

Little Explorer Days run from 10.30am to 3.30pm. But the Science Mall opens as normal between 10am and 5pm, so there’s plenty of time throughout the day to explore. 

Under 3s go free and adults pay the standard Science Mall entry of £11.00. 

If you have a Science Passport, you can use your Passport for admission as normal on Little Explorer Days so it's a perfect time to pick one up and make the most of these incredibly popular events.
