Looking for awesome family activities in Glasgow? There is always lots to do here to keep the whole family entertained for hours during the school holidays at Glasgow Science Centre!

Visit the three floors of the Science Mall where you can play for the day with over three hundred exhibits! There are screens to touch, buttons to push, gears to crank and lots of things to get your hands on. You can perform a virtual autopsy, move objects with the power of your mind, run on our sprint track and feel the force in the hurricane booth! If you're looking for a place to take toddlers in Glasgow, make sure you visit our under 7's area which includes a soft play area, perfect for your little ones!

Monster Science


Did you know that there is a hidden section of the Periodic Table…? Scientists call it the ‘Feariodic’ Table because these strange elements actually come from different monstrous creatures!!! Come along and discover these exciting secrets! (All Ages)

Clever Camouflage


Investigate how different animals hide in the wild using 'clever' camouflage. Camouflage your very own moth to help it survive in a new environment. (Ages 7 and under)

Broom Blast


Construct a mini broom, add a wee witch and send her off into the sky. (Ages 7 and under)

Laser Cutting


Drop in to see how laser cutters work and how they are used to turn everyday materials into unique custom creations. (Ages 8 and over)

Henrietta Lacks - HeLa Cells


As part of Black History Month drop in to this workshop examining the ethical issues around the use of Henrietta Lacks’ DNA, learning about cell production and the impact her ‘cells’ have in the scientific world today. (Ages 7 and over)

Wonders of the Night Sky


Take a dramatic tour of our solar system, from the International Space Station to distant planets, and then head into interstellar space as we explore our galaxy and our place in the cosmos. (Ages 8 and over)

Space Explorers


The perfect show for younger visitors to our new digital planetarium. Explore the night sky and take a trip to the Moon before flying through the solar system to see a planet up close. (Ages 7 and under)

We Are Aliens


Are we alone? Is it possible to find life beyond earth? Take a journey to find out in this Rupert Grint narrated 360° Planetarium film from the award-winning NSC Creative team. (All ages)

Planetarium Lates

19 October only

Explore the cosmos after hours, from 7-8pm on Saturday night! These amazing Planetarium Lates are live presenter-led shows, where our team of expert astronomers will fly you on a tour of the cosmos, show you the latest amazing images, and bring you cutting-edge astronomy news. (Ages 8 and over)

The Planets 360

19 October only

100 years ago in London, Gustav Holst’s The Planets Suite was performed for the first time by the Queen’s Hall Orchestra, conducted by Adrian Boult. 100 years later, the team at NSC Creative and the Philharmonia Orchestra have completely reimagined the suite as an immersive sonic experience.

We are delighted to be showing both "The Planets 360 – Classic" and "The Planets 360 – Modern" in the Planetarium at Glasgow Science Centre. Come and enjoy these updated, exciting versions of a classic as it transports you across the solar system. (Ages 8 and over)

Glasgow Tower

Take a trip up to the viewing cabin of the landmark structure and get the best view of Glasgow and beyond.

Catch a film at the IMAX cinema

From summer blockbusters to immersive 3D films, you'll be on the edge of your seat with a visit to the Cineworld IMAX at Glasgow Science Centre.
