BSL Planetarium Show

Deaf Science Club

In partnership with Dr Audrey Cameron, Glasgow Science Centre brings you Deaf Science Club – a fortnightly science club created for Deaf, BSL users and hearing impaired young people.

Budding scientists aged between 5-14 years old can explore the Universe in the Planetarium, see live science shows full of spectacular demonstrations and get hands on in workshops. Club membership costs £24 per person which includes entry to 6 sessions. 

The block of six sessions takes place on a Saturday morning starting on 7th of October:

18th November  Workshop – Car-Crazy Construction

  • 8-11 year olds 11.30-12.30
  • 12-14 year olds 13.30-14.30
2nd December  Planetarium Show  11.00-12.00 All age groups
16th December  Live Science Show – The Christmas Show  11.00-12.00 All age groups

Please note:

  • Club membership costs £24 and includes all six sessions. Sessions cannot be purchased individually 
  • Parents and carers can wait in GSC’s Taste Café during sessions
  • A BSL interpreter and note taker will be provided 
  • Parking will be charged at £1

To take part in our sessions, please contact us 0141 420 5000 or email contact.centre@glasgowsciencecentre.org and let us know the name, number of places, age of participants and we will arrange your booking and take payment over the phone (if you email, please provide a contact telephone number – then we can call you back!).
