Little Explorer Days

Little Explorer Days at Glasgow Science Centre

Little Explorer Days are special days for 3-5 year olds. Each day has its own theme and includes a mix of workshops, drop ins, make and take activities.

Build It- Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th February 2016

Calling all mini engineers! Let’s get building. Have fun constructing the tallest tower or the strongest structure with your fellow Little Explorer engineers.

Help Humpty- we all know Humpty Dumpty is a clumsy fellow. Can you build him a capsule that will protect him when he falls off that wall?

Digger Magnets- every fridge should have one! Join us in this workshop and make your own moveable digger magnet.

Castle Construction- calling all Little Explorers! Build a castle fit for a king using different recycled materials. Will your castle have a drawbridge, a moat or turrets? Little Princes and Princesses can take their dream castles home too.

Planes, Trains or Automobiles- make your own toy vehicle to take home.

Mega Blok City- what do you think cities will look like in the future? Where will we work and play and how will we travel? Become mayor of your own city as you design a city of the future.

Build It- draw something you might find in a town or city – buildings, diggers, buses, parks, gardens or even people. Add it to our cityscape.

Activities run from 1030-1530 and the Science Mall will open as normal between 10am and 5pm so there is plenty of time throughout the day to explore. Entry for Science Passport holders is free, under 5s go free and adults pay standard Science Mall entry of £10.50.
