February Break

February break at GSC

Have some fun this February Break with a day out at Glasgow Science Centre! Get hands on with great activities and shows that will keep the kids (and the grownups) entertained for hours!

In the Science Mall:

Visit the three floors of the Science Mall where you can play for the day with over three hundred exhibits! There are screens to touch, buttons to push, gears to crank and lots of things to get your hands on. You can perform a virtual autopsy, be blown away in the hurricane chamber, move objects with the power of your mind, run on our sprint track, see a 3D brain and build a Lego dam. If you have little ones, make sure you visit our under 7s area which includes a soft play area.

Included in your Science Mall ticket are some fun activities, workshops and shows:

  • Drop in to our Creative Technology Space workshop and be part of the maker revolution. Get to grips with our creative tech and use electronics to solve a problem or design a device that makes music. You could be a creative designer of the future (recommended for over 8s)
  • Roll up, roll up for the theatre of science as we astound and entertain you with our “Fantastic Forces” show. Our scientists will investigate Newton's three laws of motion using some amazing demos with balloons, rockets, a bed of nails, and lots more.

Bed of Nails

  • Make your own lungs and find out how we breathe and how our bodies use oxygen to sustain life.
