No. Standard PowerPoint presentations will appear in the centre of the screen, approximately 26x30 feet in size.

Our Watchout presentation system, using three projectors simultaeneously to produce one edge-blended image, makes use of the full width of the screen (80ft).

No. Smoking is not permitted within any of GSC's buildings.

Yes. Due to the layout of the interactive exhibits on all three floors, banqueting is not possible. However, we can offer a standing buffet for up to 1,000 guests, split over all four floors of the Science Mall building.

We can also serve drinks with appetisers or canapes for up to 3,000 delegates.

Generally speaking, most venues at GSC are available for private hire through the day all year round, including the IMAX Theatre. The only expceptions to this are the Science Mall galleries, which can only be used for private hire after 6pm.

We are closed to the general public on Monday's between the 30th Oct and 26th Mar every year, making these ideal dates for clients wishing to have exclusive access for daytime events.

All food and beverage at Glasgow Science Centre is supplied, prepared and served by our in-house caterers, Leith's and Nairn's Anywhere.

This means that clients cannot bring in their own preferred catering suppliers. 

All floors within the IMAX Theatre and Science Mall are accessible by lift, with disabled accessible toilets on the ground and third floors of the IMAX Theatre, and ground and second floors of the Science Mall.

There is space for six wheelchairs within the Science Show Theatre and ScottishPower Planetarium, and for nine wheelchairs within the IMAX Theatre, while all of our theatres are equipped with infra-red loop for the hearing impaired.

GSC is located approximately one mile west of Glasgow City Centre, and well-served by public transport. The opening of the new Finnieston Road Bridge will improve links between GSC and city centre.

SPT Subway: Cessnock and Ibrox underground stations are less than a 10-minute walk away.

Bus: First Bus service 89/90 Inner/Outer circle - serving various points throughout the city - and Arriva service 24, from Renfield St in the City Centre to Paisley. All services stop outside the main entrance.

Train: Exhibition Centre station is located a 10-minute walk from Glasgow Science Centre, across the river and through the covered walkway from the SECC. Journey time from Exhibition Centre to Glasgow Central is less than 5 minutes.

Our car park has space for 470 cars and 11 coaches, all free of charge for delegates involved in corporate events at Glasgow Science Centre.

There is also one drop-off point directly in front of the main entrance. 

GSC is directly across the River Clyde from the SECC and the Crowne Plaza 4-Star Hotel.

Crossing the river via Bells Bridge or Millenium Bridge, GSC is less than a five-minute walk away.

Of course! Delegate-rate tickets are available for all GSC attractions - so why not opt for a longer lunch-break or an earlier finish to allow your delegates to have a taste of what GSC is all about?

Private screenings of the latest IMAX films, star shows in the Planetarium or live science shows in the Science Show Theatre may also be arranged.

Just get in touch with our Corporate Event Sales Team on 0871 540 1008 to arrange a provisional booking or site visit.

Once you make a provisional booking, we're happy to hold space for you for up to three weeks without a deposit. 

Once you confirm your tenancy at Glasgow Science Centre, we then contract your event based on your tenancy requirements and you are issued an invoice based on tenancy.

We then handover to your assigned Event Manager who will contact you to organise your Catering and Audio/Visual requirements. Catering and AV fees are payable following the event.

Please let us know if you require to pay tenancy in instalments.

Although we won't book accommodation for you directly, Glasgow Science Centre is pleased to be working in partnership with the hotels and serviced apartments listed below.

These rates have been given to GSC for clients who may wish to book accommodation while in Glasgow. If booking please mention that you are holding a Corporate Event at GSC.

Yes. We pay 8% commission on tenancy hire to agencies. In order to benefit from this, commissionable rates must be requested at the initial enquiry stages.

GSC's core operational hours are 10am-6pm, 7 days a week, with office staff present Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm. However, as we have round-the-clock security staff, access for deliveries and build-up outside of these hours can be arranged.

GSC's shop, located on the ground floor of the Science Mall, is open from 10am until 6pm, 7 days a week.

If you're hosting an evening event and you think your guests would like the opportunity to purchase some of our gifts, goodies, gadgets or gizmos, we can arrange for the shop to stay open while they're here.
