Charlie's House of Chance

This school classroom activity allows pupils the opportunity to explore the idea of chance, to make predictions and communicate findings using the vocabulary of probability.


CfE:

Mathematics > Number, Money and Measure > Fractions, Decimal Fractions and Percentages

Mathematics > Information Handling > Ideas of Chance & Uncertainty

 

Recommended for P4 - S2 pupils.

Whole class activity, duration ~ 45 – 60 minutes.

The powerpoint presentation can be used to enhance the activity or simply as a lesson outline.  To save to your computer, open the PowerPoint presentation. From the 'File' menu choose 'Save as' and save to your chosen directory.  It can then be opened and played as an ordinary powerpoint presentation with the opportunity to edit slides if desired.  Be sure to read slide info. at bottom of presentation!
