Wunder der Shöpfung is a ground-breaking silent documentary, made in Germany in 1925, and is an extraordinary and unique document of human knowledge about the universe in the 1920s. This screening is accompanied by a newly-commissioned live score from Herschel 36 - drummer Stu Brown and keyboardist Paul Harrison.
Fifteen special effects experts and nine cameramen were involved in the production of this beautifully tinted and toned film which combines documentary, history, fiction, and animation.
This screening in the Planetarium at Glasgow Science Centre will also feature a live tour of the solar system using the cutting-edge fulldome digital projection system, and an introduction from the Astronomer Royal for Scotland, Prof. John Brown.
